Dear Friends,

The ancient Hebrews knew that they must venerate the elderly and that
they must show great reverence before God. May we learn this same
lesson, for it is truth.

Leviticus 19: 32>You shall rise up before the gray-headed and honor the
aged, and you shall revere your God; I am the LORD.

Dear Lord, Please help us to always show respect and have helpful
attitudes toward the elderly. Above all, please help us to show
reverence to You, for You are holy and deserving of all our respect and
honor. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Dear Friends,

There is no deception, no hiding with God. He is always there in the
light, always revealing, helping, and listening. He is a doting Father.
Think about these things.

I John 1: 5>This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to
you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.

Dear Lord, We bask in Your Light! We are so grateful to be Your
children. Thank You for helping us find the truth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

As we prepare our hearts for worship with the church tomorrow, let us
meditate on the privilege of having the church. Let us rejoice in the
opportunity to share our praise and worship with our Christian brothers
and sisters. Have a great weekend!

Psalm 135: 2>You who stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of
the house of our God! 3>Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; Sing
praises to His name, for it is lovely.

Dear Lord, It is such a joy to go to Your house each Sunday! Thank You
for the invitation and for always being there to welcome us. May we
worship You in a fitting way with our fellow Christians. In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

Dear Friends,

It is easy to be hospitable to those we know and love. But the
Scriptures teach us to extend our hospitality to the unknown person, to
the unloved and unlovable. That is hard sometimes, but we can grow from
the experience.

Hebrews 13: 1>Let love of the brethren continue. 2>Do not neglect to
show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels
without knowing it.

Dear Lord, May we please learn to be hospitable in Your Name and not our
own, loving with Your love, for it is perfect and true. Thank You for
Your revelations to us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

Jesus’ words to John on Patmos Island should serve to remind us that we
worship a holy God. He deserves all our reverence as well as our praise.
Let us always show Him the respect that He deserves.

Revelation 22: 13>”I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last,
the beginning and the end.”

Dear Lord, We humbly bow before You, aware of Your perfection, Your
beauty, and Your holiness. Blessed be Your Name in all the earth! In
Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

What a pleasure it is to wake up early and go straight to the Lord in
prayer and Bible study! You start the day refreshed and with spiritual
nourishment. If this is not already your habit, start today!

Psalm 57: 7>My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will
sing, yes, I will sing praises! 8>Awake, my glory! Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.

Dear Lord, It is so wonderful to awaken each day with You as our first
thought! Thank You for having been awake all night as we slept. How we
love You! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

We are not victims of the devil but have a lot of choices to make each
day. God is our Authority, the devil is an annoying tempter. We can
resist him; let us make that a practice. Let us submit ourselves to God.

James 4: 7>Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee
from you.

Dear Lord, We gladly submit ourselves to You. Help us in our constant
fight against temptation. May we be victorious and give You great
pleasure. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

Most of us have gone through the experience of “unrequited love” at some
time or other. But with the Lord, there is no such thing. He ALWAYS
loves us and is faithful to be there for us. Rejoice! What a great way
to start this week!

Proverbs 8: 17>I love those who love Me; and those who diligently seek
Me will find Me.

Dear Lord, Thank You so much for Your unchanging love and Your
willingness to walk ever near us, available to us every moment of every
day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

No human being can save himself. It is only the grace of God that can
save us. Rejoice in that fact today.

Ephesians 2: I mean that you have been saved by grace because you
believed. You did not save yourselves. It was a gift from God. You
are not saved by the things you have done, so there is nothing to boast
about.

Dear Lord, Thank You so much for salvation, and the grace of this
incredible gift. Thank You for Jesus Christ and His marvelous sacrifice
to bring about atonement and salvation for us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

The Lord is constant and dependable. He takes care of the planet which
He created for us. There is none like it in all the universe. Let us be
good stewards of this planet.

Genesis 8: As long as the earth continues, there will always be a
time for planting and a time for harvest. There will always be cold and
hot, summer and winter, day and night on earth.

Dear Lord, Help us, we pray, to be good stewards of nature and all the
natural resources of our planet. Thank You for the consistancy of it. In
Jesus’ Name, Amen.
