Dear Friends,

We can control our thoughts; we can put on the brakes when we need to,
or open our thoughts to purity and beauty. Meditate on those thoughts today.

Matthew 5: <8> What great blessings there are for those whose thoughts
are pure. They will be with God.

Dear Lord, May we truly be pure in heart, bringing You honor and glory.
Direct our thoughts as we seek You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

Solomon’s proverbs can certainly point us in the right directions for
spiritual growth! God deserves all our respect and we should trust Him
to lead us into knowledge. Have a great week!

Proverbs 9: <10> Respect for the Lord is the first step toward getting
wisdom. Getting knowledge of the Lord is the first step toward getting
understanding.

Dear Lord, Please teach us the paths that we should take. May we always
respect You and honor You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

As we prepare for worship tomorrow, let us rest and let our minds rest.
Let us look to Jesus and let Him take care of us. Have a blessed Sunday!

Jude 1: <2> Mercy, peace, and love be yours more and more.

Dear Lord, Thank You for Your incredible love and mercy! Thank You that
You set aside one day of each week for us to rest in You and worship. In
Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.

Dear Friends,

Do we ingest the Word of God and make it a part of our very being? The
prophet Jeremiah did! We can learn a lot from him. Have a wonderful day
today and a happy weekend.

Jeremiah 15: <16> Your message came to me and I ate your words. Your
message made me very happy. I was happy to be called by your name. Your
name is Lord All-Powerful.

Dear Lord, May we faithfully ingest Your message to us through the Word
of God. It is truly food for our souls. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

The Lord will never abandon us. He is always available in all
situations. Go to Him and wait for Him, for He wants to help.

Psalm 50: <15> [God says,] “Call for me when you have troubles! I will
help you. And then you can honor me.”

Dear Lord, May we learn to trust You and wait for You, for we know that
You want to help us in the situations of our lives. May we truly honor
You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

Just think! Even in our prayers the Lord helps us! He really wants good
things for us, and He personally helps us with our prayers so that they
might be acceptable to Him. We serve a loving God!

Romans 8: <26> Also, the Spirit helps us. We are very weak, but the
Spirit helps us with our weakness. We don’t know how to pray as we
should, but the Spirit himself speaks to God for us. He begs God for us,
speaking to him with feelings too deep for words.

Dear Lord, We are in awe of You, for You are so good and kind and
loving! Thank You for helping us to pray. May we pray without ceasing.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

The Lord puts great stock in praise and adoration. Let us sing to Him
this morning as we go out to face the world at work or at school.

II Chronicles 20: <21> Jehoshaphat encouraged and instructed the people.
Then he chose men to be singers to the Lord. Those singers were chosen
to give praise to the Lord because he is holy and wonderful. They
marched in front of the army and praised the Lord. They sang the song,
Praise the Lord, because his love continues forever!

Dear Lord, May we praise and sing to You all day today. May our praise
be acceptable in Your sight. You are our Rock and our Redeemer. In
Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

Rejoice this morning in God’s goodness! He does all things well. Have a
great day and a great week!

James 1: <17> Everything good comes from God. Every perfect gift is from
him. These good gifts come down from the Father who made all the lights
in the sky. But God never changes like the shadows from those lights. He
is always the same.

Dear Lord, How grateful we feel for Your blessings! Thank You for Your
creativity and Your sustenance. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

Paul told the people of the church in Corinth that they should worship in such a way as to show reverence and honor to the Lord. In order to do that, they would have to concentrate on Jesus and not on themselves. Is that a lesson for us to learn as well?

I Corinthians 14: <40> But everything should be done in a way that is right and orderly.

Dear Lord, Help us to learn to truly worship You as You deserve. Help us, please, to learn to concentrate upon You and not ourselves. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

God told Moses that He wanted the Children of Israel to change their way of thinking so that it could be well with them all their lives. We need to let Him change our way of thinking, too.

Deuteronomy 5: <29> I only wanted to change their way of thinking—I wanted them to respect me and obey all my commands from the heart! Then everything would be fine with them and with their descendants forever.

Dear Lord, Please take control of our lives and change our way of thinking to be in line with Your thinking. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
