Dear Friends,

Tomorrow we gather for worship in our churches. Let us truly worship Him
in reverence and awe, in spirit and in truth. Let us forget our selves
and just glorify Jesus the Lord!

John 4: 2>4″God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in
spirit and truth.”

Dear Lord, You are worthy of all honor, glory, and praise! Teach us to
worship You in spirit and in truth, honoring and glorifying You before
all. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

Moses knew that following God, although it might appear to be overly
simple, was the key to real life and peace of mind. We know that, too.
Let us strive to make Him the most important part of our lives.

Deuteronomy 10: 12>Now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require from
you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and love
Him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all
your soul, 13>and to keep the LORD’S commandments and His statutes which
I am commanding you today for your good?

Dear Lord, Thank You for always caring for us and being with us even
when our thoughts are far from You. Help us to learn to adore You and
honor You, following You in every facet of our lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

It is good to recognize that we are totally dependent upon our Creator,
for He made us and made us as He desired. We can accept ourselves,
because we were made according to the Master Plan. Let Him reign in you
today.

Romans 9: 20>Who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing
molded will not say to the molder, “Why did you make me like this,” will it?

Dear Lord, We humbly submit ourselves to Your authority, and we accept
Your decision about who we are and what we are to do in this life. In
Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

Let us strive to pass on the wonderful information that we have in Jesus
Christ to those who will come after us. That is one of the most
important things we could ever do.

Psalm 22: 30>Posterity will serve Him; It will be told of the Lord to
the coming generation. 31>They will come and will declare His
righteousness to a people who will be born, that He has performed it.

Dear Lord, We recognize the importance of preserving the truth for
future generations. May we be faithful to pass on the Good News without
compromise. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

How brightly are you shining in this dark world? Shine the light of
Christ and of love in the world, and see wonderful things happen! Have a
great day today.

Matthew 5: 14>You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill
cannot be hidden; 15>nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a
basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the
house. 16>Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may
see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Dear Lord, May we ever shine Your Light before this world of darkness
and unfulfilled searching. Help us, we pray, to lead others out of the
darkness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

Our pastors are men who are called of God to lead us, and we can look up
to them for He leads them in our behalf. Pray for your pastor and help
him be a good leader.

Malachi 2: 7>For the lips of a priest should preserve knowledge, and men
should seek instruction from his mouth; for he is the messenger of the
LORD of hosts.

Dear Lord, Please help our pastors to hear Your Voice and to obey You.
May we help our pastors, listening to Your messages and giving our
support. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

The prophet predicted that one day all of the earth would know of God’s
glory, and that all would bow before Him. Let us bow before Him each day
to honor and glorify Him.

Habakkuk 2: 14>For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the
glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Dear Lord, We yearn to see the world worship You, to fall at Your feet
and sing praises to You. May we faithfully spread the Good News of the
Gospel so that they may soon come to that point. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

I will be traveling for the next two weeks, and the Encouraging Word
might be sporadic or simply might skip a day or two. Please excuse any
inconvenience that this might cause. Sandy

Dear Friends,

Was there ever a time in history when people needed to listen to the
Lord more than at this time? Surely we are near the end of time, and
people need the Lord so much! Let us be vigilant for His coming, and
always telling others about Him.

Jeremiah 2: 31a>O generation, heed the word of the LORD.

Dear Lord, Help the people of our times to listen to and obey Your Word.
Help us to be bold witnesses always. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear Friends,

How far does your trust in God go? The Psalmist trusted completely in
Him, and God blessed him for it. Let us learn to trust Him more and more.

Psalm 56: 10>In God, whose word I praise, in the LORD, whose word I
praise, 11>in God I have put my trust, I shall not be afraid. What can
man do to me?

Dear Lord, Your Word is truth, and You have promised to always be with
us and to care for us. Help us to really trust You in every way. In
Jesus’ Name, Amen.
